Her powerful lyrics and deliver on her debut album "Born Gangstaz" was a performance, that in many people's opinion , still has'nt been match by any other female gangsta rapper. The album was a gateway into the mind of a crazy ass chick , the product of a harsh ghetto enviroment. Listeners heard the thoughts and raw descriptions of situations she experienced living in the hood. But her career suddenly took a nose-dive when many magazines & newspapers , including the Wall Street Journal, discredited her image,accusing her of being nothing more than a studio gangsta , born and raised in the suburbs from a middle class family. Though it was evident she had ryhme skills, the claims that she never lived or experienced the situations she spoke about in her ryhmes serious damaged her career and she was never able recapture the success she had when she debuted. Recent reports say Boss is preparing for a comeback, presently working on a new album. This moves her present status from Retired to Inactive.
